Clowns on Parade by Cathy Wiggins

Clowns on Parade is an award winning show quilt by Cathy Wiggins. Learn more about Cathy at her website

Dear Quilters,

Binding. Does that word fill you with dread?  If so you’re not alone. Many quilters report that the last step in making a quilt is their least favorite, causing them to put off completing their quilt. Judging by the many gizmos on the market to help ease the task, it gives a lot of quilters trouble.

This month on Quilty Ebony Love joins Mary Fons to help Mary overcome her binding phobia. The three-part series addresses each step, from cutting strips and joining them to making that last join when the strips are sewn to the quilt and sewing the binding to the back of the quilt. (Oh the mental gymnastics!) Watch the series and see if you, like Mary, strike off to finish those quilts so near completion. It’s not hard when you have know-how!
