Drawn to the Sun

Ellen Anne Eddy works her quilt magic with hand dyed fabrics and lots and lots of thread. Drawn to the Sun is an example of her artistry.

Dear Quilters,

Have you ever wanted to peek into the life of a writer, especially one who writes novels for quilters? Then you will want to watch this month’s episode of Quilt Out Loud!

Mark Lipinski and I travel to Litchfield, Connecticut to visit the actual place that inspired Marie Bostwick’s Cobble Court series. But the best part is that we happened to run into her there and she gave us the grand tour. We turned into a picture-perfect cobbled court and there before our eyes was a building that yearns to be a quilt shop. Oh yes, we saw the inspiration right off. It is charming!

Of course, that made Mark’s surprise door knock no surprise at all to Marie. We had the grand tour including the lofty area in which she writes and sews. Marie sure doesn’t fit the mold of a shy, reclusive writer. (I can hear her guffawing at that.) She’s, well, a character! Get to know Marie this month on!

Happy quilting,
