Welcome |
How many of you have been able to share your Love of Quilting with your children, grandchildren or special family members? After being inspired by Quilty magazine, my daughter, Lené, decided to make a quilt for her 4-H project. I was able to help her get started, but because I am a new quilter, I knew she would need more expert help as we progressed. Luckily, my family is visiting extended family in New Hampshire where my mother-in-law, Lucille, is helping Lené finish her quilt. It’s amazing how quilting is timeless. It is a skill that all generations can come together to enjoy. I hope you are able to share your Love of Quilting with family and friends this summer, it is something that will bring you closer together.
Happy Quilting! Mandy C. Editorial Assistant |

Tips Galore! |
Choosing Colors
Submitted by Georgia Summit from West Lafayette, OH.
I lay my blocks on pieces of construction paper to help me decide what colors to use for borders on my quilts. Viewing it at home gives me a plan for fabric shopping. When I decide what color family works, I head for that section in the fabric store. Visit the tips page on the Fons & Porter Web site for more great ideas.
