April 7th Memorial Event |
|
Freedom Quilts is hosting their annual event on April 7th to honor six fallen soldiers’ families. They usually mail their quilts to families, but once a year they have a special ceremony so families can come to the Freedom Quilts shop and receive their quilts in person.
During the event, Freedom Quilts honors families and their loved ones by inviting the Legion Riders, quilters, and others to come and help remember our fallen heroes and their families. Many families are from Iowa, but sometimes with out-of-state families travel to the quilt shop to receive a quilt in person.
Freedom Quilts is always looking for quilters, and donations so they can continue to let the families know we all care about them. Please visit the Freedom Quilts Web site for details on how you can get involved with this worthy cause. |
