Welcome |
Greetings from Fons & Porter! I know many of you are in denial that Thanksgiving is less than one month away, but hopefully you are working on your holiday projects. Many of us know that with the holidays comes great food. We were fortunate last week to indulge in one of our famous office potlucks. Check out some of our potluck pictures at the Fons & Porter blog. A special guest, Liz Porter, came to eat with us and it was great catching up with her. Many of you know that Liz has retired and loves to spend her time golfing, spoiling her grandchildren, and of course quilting! Every issue of Love of Quilting features a quilt or project from Liz. The November/December issue of Love of Quilting features Liz’s Pinwheel Strippy quilt…you won’t want to miss it.

Laments from a Quilter's Husband |
“So your wife is a quilter. That doesn't seem so bad, does it? It's a nice quiet hobby, conjuring up images of our sturdy pioneer mothers, keeping their families warm and creating beauty out of old shirts and printed feedbags. You think of plump grannies in rocking chairs, piecing a Log Cabin block by firelight, cat asleep at her feet. An idyllic picture, right? You're living in a dream world, buddy.
